This project provides for the design and construction of the hospital, as well as its servicing-maintenance. The hospital will improve the quality, accessibility and diversity of healthcare provision in Bursa Province.
This financing is for the Turkish company BRS Sağlık Yatırım A.Ş, SPV, which is leading the project for the design and construction of the public hospital in Bursa, in the Marmara region, as well as its servicing-maintenance for 25.5 years. The project is supported by the same sponsors, builder and operator as for the Adana and Elazig projects, including Meridiam, the first French infrastructure fund with which Proparco has signed five transactions in the past 24 months, as well as the Turkish construction group Rönesans.
With a total cost of EUR 489m, the hospital will improve the quality, accessibility and diversity of the hospital services provided in the province of Bursa: cancer treatment, cardiology, radiation therapy, maternal and pediatric care, emergency and intensive care.
This project allows us to support Turkey’s policy to improve public healthcare provision and access to healthcare for populations (Sustainable Development Goal n° 3). Over the next five years, the integrated hospital project led by BRS SA will provide the city and Bursa region with 260,000 beds and over 2.2 million additional consultations every year.
