Voices for Change - Yedau Ogoundele, CRRH-UEMOA
Published on
In this episode of Voices for Change, Yedau Ogoundele, CEO of CRRH-UEMOA, shares a strong belief: housing is not only about Shelter, it is the foundation of stable, inclusive and sustainable development.
As West African cities continue to grow rapidly, driven by strong demographic dynamics, access to affordable housing remains out of reach for many households. Yet housing is far more than a roof over one’s head. It provides dignity, security and the starting point for building a future.
Through its work, CRRH-UEMOA is committed to making housing finance more accessible and better adapted to local realities. In 2025, the institution reached a major milestone with the issuance of a social bond dedicated to affordable housing across the region, helping mobilize resources so more families can access home ownership. Supported by Proparco as an anchor investor, this initiative reflects a shared ambition: reducing inequalities, strengthening social resilience and laying the foundations for fairer and more sustainable growth through access to housing.
