Emmanuelle Riedel Drouin appointed Deputy Chief Executive Officer of Proparco

A graduate of Paris-Dauphine University and holder of an MBA from Baruch College (New York), Emmanuelle Riedel Drouin brings more than 25 years of experience in development finance, international finance and private sector financing. She began her career in the United States before joining Proparco in 2008, where she held successive positions in risk analysis, portfolio management and regional business development, notably covering South Asia. After nearly ten years with the French Development Agency (AFD), where she held several senior management positions in the fields of health, state-owned enterprises, public financial institutions and economic and financial transition, Emmanuelle Riedel Drouin returned to Proparco in 2022 as Head of the Financing Department and member of the Executive Committee. In this role, she has overseen the institution's debt and guarantee financing activities across all regions of operation.

Since 2023, Proparco has been implementing its 2023–2027 Strategy, built around a shared ambition: strengthening the impact of the private sector in support of a fairer and more sustainable world. In her new role, Emmanuelle Riedel Drouin will contribute to advancing this strategy. She will help steer the institution's activities, accelerate its development and further strengthen its impact in support of private sector growth across Proparco's countries of operation.
