For over 20 years, Proparco has been supporting Tunisie Leasing & Factoring (TLF), which offers entrepreneurs simple and fast financing solutions. This new EUR 15m credit line will allow TLF to continue to develop its activity.
Client presentation
TLF is a leasing institution offering financing solutions tailored to the needs and constraints of SMEs. It was the first leasing company in Tunisia and has remained the leader in this sector. TLF is particularly active with microenterprises and SMEs in the trade, service and industry sectors.
Project description
It is Proparco's 5th operation with TLF, a longstanding partner of Proparco. This new EUR 15m credit line will allow Tunisie Leasing & Factoring (TLF) to continue to develop its activity.
Project impact
PROPARCO’s operation will contribute to the following impacts:
- Support for some 200 direct jobs over the next 5 years, including some 65 for women, and support for some 62,000 indirect jobs in the 1,300 companies that could theoretically benefit from PROPARCO’s financing (calculated on the basis of the average loan to companies and the average employment in these companies). Most of Tunisie Leasing’s employees benefit from training given by the institution.
- An increase in the growth of Tunisie Leasing’s activity with microenterprises and SMEs. We estimate that the institution will be able to serve over 3,600 SMEs over the next 5 years (17% increase in the portfolio).
