The Aga Khan Fund for Economic Development is an international agency which supports the private sector in development countries. Proparco is more specifically supporting the fund’s work in Africa, the Middle East and Asia.

The Aga Khan Fund for Economic Development (AKFED) is an international development agency which promotes private initiative and supports economically viable companies in developing countries. It invests in companies in Africa, South Asia and Central Asia. AKFED is a member of the Aga Khan Development Network (AKDN).
Project description
Proparco’s financing will support AKFED’s activities in Africa, the Middle East, South Asia and Central Asia
Project impact
By supporting financing for projects in sectors as diverse as finance, infrastructure, industry, tourism and aeronautics, this operation will maintain over 50,000 jobs in the 130 companies invested in by the fund.
