Laurent BIDDISCOMBE

Laurent Biddiscombe is Executive Director for Global Client Solution at Agence française de développement (AFD), the French Development Agency. He leads the sectoral and thematic teams that finance AFD's clients to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

He started his career at Société Générale as an Inspector and then held different positions within AFD’s local offices (Senegal, New Caledonia), before joining the Financial Institutions team which he later headed. He then was Deputy CEO of Banque Socredo, the largest bank in French Polynesia and a 35% subsidiary from AFD, before returning to AFD's headquarters as Deputy Executive Director in charge of the Sustainable Finance and Sustainable Economy Global Practice.

He graduated from the French business school ESSEC (Ecole Supérieure des Sciences Economiques et Commerciales).
