Simon Walley

The World Bank Group


Simon Walley has worked at the World Bank since 2006, particularly on the development of secondary mortgage markets through the creation of liquidity facilities, mortgage-subsidy schemes and covered-bond legislation. Previously, he worked as an economist for the Nationwide Building Society and acted as a banking regulator at the Bank of England and for the Financial Services Authority. He was also the Deputy Secretary-General of the European Mortgage Federation.
