Garance Wattez-Richard is in charge of developing the insurance offering for middle-class customers in emerging economies. After working at the EU Commission and the EBRD, Garance joined the AXA Group in 2005 as Executive Assistant on communications matters before being appointed Head of Media Relations and Reputation in 2012.

AXA has 166,000 employees in 64 countries serving some 103 million customers across its four lines of business: property and casualty insurance, life and savings, health insurance and asset management. AXA needs to constantly anticipate major transformations in order to tailor products and services to present and future customer needs. For example, in February 2016 it launched a global initiative to scale up programs to protect the emerging middle classes in developing countries.
