Overview
David Humphreys is a Londonbased independent consultant. He was chief economist of Russian mining company Norilsk Nickel between 2004 and 2008. Prior to this, he was with Rio Tinto for 18 years. Before this, he worked for the UK government for nine years, as an advisor on minerals policy. He has a bachelor's degree and a PhD from the University of Wales. David Humphreys is an honorary lecturer at the Centre for Energy, Petroleum and Mineral Law and Policy of the University of Dundee, Scotland.
