Proparco has made an equity investment in Exacta Asia Investment III LP, a private equity fund that supports midcap companies in the ASEAN+6 countries (Indonesia, Vietnam, Malaysia, Philippines, Thailand, Singapore).
Client presentation
Exacta Asia Investment III is a venture capital fund with a target size of USD 350m that aims to contribute to the development of SMEs and midcap companies in the region of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN). It is the third fund of the manager Exacta Capital Partners, which has been operating in Southeast Asia since 2013.
Project description
Exacta Asia Investment III supports midcap companies in the ASEAN+6 countries (Indonesia, Vietnam, Malaysia, Philippines, Thailand, Singapore). Through its local presence in each of its countries of operation, it facilitates exchanges between the various countries in the region and the creation of regional platforms.
The project is supporting employment and strengthening the private sector by helping companies to comply with the highest environmental, social and governance standards. It is also contributing to the development of the private equity ecosystem in Southeast Asia.
Project impact
The project is expected to support nearly 2,000 jobs in the investee companies over the next 5 years (direct jobs).
The project will thereby contribute to SDG 8 (Decent work and economic growth).
