Proparco has renewed its support to the Grameen Crédit Agricole Foundation for the sixth time with a EUR 15m ARIZ portfolio guarantee for microfinance institutions in Sub-Saharan Africa.
Client presentation
The Grameen Crédit Agricole Foundation is a leading player in financial inclusion in rural areas. It contributes to reducing poverty by providing financial and technical assistance to microfinance institutions, social businesses and projects with impacts in developing countries. The Foundation focuses its support on microfinance institutions that target disadvantaged people, particularly women and people living in rural areas, especially farmers.
Project description
Proparco has renewed its ARIZ portfolio guarantee to the Grameen Crédit Agricole Foundation for EUR 15m. This ARIZ portfolio guarantee will allow the foundation to allocate EUR 30m of financing to microfinance institutions in Sub-Saharan Africa. It is the sixth ARIZ portfolio guarantee dedicated to the Grameen Crédit Agricole Foundation’s activity in Africa.
Project impact
The guarantee allocated by Proparco will support and assist microfinance institutions with their growth dynamics and thereby improve financial inclusion.
