Aurora, a school with a social impact in the Democratic Republic of Congo Founded in 2012, Aurora Institute responds to the needs of Kinshasa's growing middle class and provides to their children a quality and affordable education that meets international standards. It now has 800 students. It was supported by the African Rivers Fund (ARF), managed by XSML Capital, in which Proparco has invested. Thanks to the support of ARF, Institut Aurora has one of the highest exam pass rates in the country.

Merec: An agrifood player with sustainable values
Merec, the leading local player on the wheat and maize processing market in Mozambique, has diversified in recent years into manufacturing pasta, biscuits and animal feed. Merec currently operates four industrial sites in the three main regions in the country, in Maputo, Beira and Nacala. PROPARCO’s investment is financing its development and is contributing to strengthening food security in the country.

In Elazig, a high-quality hospital for all (Turkey)
The Fethi Sekin public hospital in the city of Elazig has been operational since August 2018. It has significant impacts on the local population. This hospital creates many jobs and has major economic benefits for the region. It contributes to support healthcare provision especially in hospitals, for disadvantaged and middle-class communities.
