On the occasion of the visit to Togo of Rémy Rioux, Chief Executive Officer of Agence Française de Développement (AFD) and President of Proparco, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed today with Ecobank Togo, a subsidiary of the Ecobank Group, the pan-African banking group. As part of this signature, Proparco also announced the granting of a EURIZ portfolio guarantee to Ecobank Togo, for an amount of 3 million euros, to facilitate access to credit for local SMEs. The EURIZ guarantee is supported by the European Union and the Organization of African, Caribbean and Pacific States.

On November 25, 2021, the two institutions formalized their partnership in Lomé with a 40 million euro loan from Proparco to the West African Economic and Monetary Union (WAEMU, also known by its French acronym, UEMOA) Caisse Régionale de Refinancement Hypothécaire (CRRH-UEMOA), a Regional Mortgage Refinancing Fund, for the refinancing of affordable housing loans granted by WAEMU banks to low-income populations in the zone.

From Benin to Togo and Senegal, the subsidiaries of the pan-African banking group Coris Bank International (CBI) have joined Proparco's Trade Finance guarantee programme. These guarantees will facilitate the import of foodstuffs, essential goods, and materials needed by SMEs to create local value. These three agreements reflect the deepening ties established since 2021 between Proparco and the Coris Group.
