The 15 million dollar line of credit granted by the private sector subsidiary of the French Development Agency (AFD Group) will support the growth strategy of this bank committed to small businesses in the Dominican Republic.

Proparco has granted a $15 million loan to Akuo Energy for the construction of a 52MW installed capacity wind farm. This loan marks Proparco’s first operation in the energy sector in the Dominican Republic.

Through Banco BHD, the subsidiary of the French Development Agency earmarked EUR50 million for the financing of first homes for middle and low-income women.

Proparco, a subsidiary of the French Development Agency (AFD), and Banco BHD signed a EUR50 million financing agreement that will benefit more than 700 middle and low-income Dominican women for the acquisition of first homes worth less than RD$5 million through fixed-rate long-term loans.

By granting an EURIZ guarantee to BANFONDESA, Proparco will enable this financial institution to develop its activity with micro, small and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) in the country. This operation is of key importance for these enterprises, which have been severely impacted by the current health and economic context

• The project meets with the stringent sustainability performance standards of the International Finance Corporation (IFC).
• Ecoener will receive a $43.1 million loan to finance the 60 MW photovoltaic plant, which will prevent yearly emissions of 64,173 tons of CO2 into the atmosphere.
• The company has five solar plants currently in operation or under construction in the Dominican Republic, with the potential to produce 280 MW and contribute to the country's energy independence and decarbonisation process.

Banco Ademi, strengthens its partnership with Proparco by granting two ARIZ and EURIZ portfolio guarantees equivalent in DOP to 10 million euros in Dominican pesos, and a technical assistance to the leading Dominican microfinance institution, three months after granting international financing equivalent to US$15 million in Dominican pesos.

Proparco has just granted a senior loan equivalent in Dominican Pesos (DOP) of $15 million dollars to Banco Multiple Ademi, S.A. (Banco Ademi), the leading Dominican microfinance institution. This new financing, announced on the occasion of FELABAN's 57th Annual Meeting, aims to support access to financial services for micro-entrepreneurs.
