The international arm of one of the world’s largest development organisations, BRAC, has launched a capital markets debt programme that will secure financing for its microfinance operations for the coming decade. Proparco, with a 25 million dollars facility, have participated to the launch of the programme alongside Global Partnerships.

Serengeti Energy, a leading renewable energy company, and Proparco, the French development finance institution, have signed a landmark €250,000 grant agreement to support climate change adaptation for Serengeti Energy's power plants in sub-Saharan Africa. This strategic partnership aims to enhance the resilience and sustainability of renewable energy infrastructure amidst the increasing challenges posed by climate change.

Proparco has arranged a €40 million financing to SCOUL, Uganda’s third largest sugar manufacturing company, to finance a new 26MW cogeneration power plant. This new power plant will allow the company to produce green electricity at a competitive price to meet its own needs and to be sold to the national grid.

Together with Mauritian conglomerate IBL, Proparco has closed the acquisition of a majority stake in Harley's, alongside the founding family. Proparco’s goal is to expand the supply of medicine and health products in Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania.

Proparco has announced its 12 million dollars participation in the 32 million-dollar Series 2 of the Debt program initiated by BRAC International Microfinance. The consortium of investors comprises BIO, Global Partnerships and Ceniarth.
