Proparco and the Dutch development bank FMO are providing $10.75 million each to Spayka LLC, the largest exporter of the Armenian fruits and vegetables playing a key role in the country’s agribusiness sector.

Proparco (a subsidiary of Agence Française de Développement – AFD- focused on private sector development) and Ameriabank signed a 20 million USD credit facility agreement.

AFD Group is supporting the development of FCA, the only credit cooperative in Armenia, via a subordinated loan in Armenian dram for an amount equivalent to EUR 1.5m with a 6-year maturity. FCA is the first credit organization in Armenia to raise this type of subordinated financing with an international institutional investor.

Proparco granted a $20 million credit line to ACBA Bank to help the bank further support SMEs and businesses in the agricultural sector, which play a key role in job creation and access to essential goods and services in the country.

Proparco and Armeconombank have signed a $10 million loan to finance SMEs and green projects in the country.

Initiatives by farmers, local people and businesses in Armenia to maintain and develop rural areas are growing, with the support of AFD Group. We report on two projects supported by Proparco, the Group's private sector arm, and Agence Française de Développement: one to support the agricultural sector and the other to improve energy efficiency in housing.
