A new loan agreement in the amount of USD 35 million has been successfully signed between Proparco and AKLease. This is the only loan facility Proparco has extended to the Turkish financial sector in 2021. Through this agreement, AKLease will finance energy efficiency and renewable energy investments.

FMO and Proparco announced today the launch of a EUR 80mln syndicated facility to support Kılıç Deniz, Turkey’s leading aquaculture player, which is growing and producing sustainably certified fish. The syndication is led by FMO, the Dutch development bank, which is committing EUR 65mln, with participation from Proparco, France’s development finance institution, committing EUR 15mln. The syndicated facility will be used to support Kılıç Deniz’s ongoing business expansion across Turkey, further promote the company’s sustainable production of sea bass, sea bream, and rainbow trout, while also optimize its balance sheet.

Yapı Kredi Leasing reinforces its climate finance strategy in Turkey, with the support of Proparco
Proparco has just granted a €50 million loan to Yapı Kredi Leasing. This financing will be entirely allocated to support Yapı Kredi Leasing’s growth in climate finance, funding investments such as Wind Power Plants, Solar Power Plants and Electric Vehicles. This is the highest amount ever granted by Proparco to a leasing company.

Through its Trade Finance Guarantee program, supporting imports, Proparco is accompanying his long-term business partner, OdeaBank AS in developing its activities in Africa. Proparco will be able to issue guarantees benefiting OdeaBank AS in their trade finance operations initiated by one of the issuing banks of Proparco’s Trade Finance Guarantee program. OdeaBank is the first Turkish commercial bank to join Proparco’s Trade Finance program.

In April 2017, Proparco allocated a EUR 15m loan to the Turkish project company BRS Sağlık Yatırım A.Ş to finance the construction of a public hospital in Bursa and improve access to healthcare in this province. Bursa is Turkey’s fifth largest city, located in the Marmara region in the west of the country. This new 1,355-bed hospital complex was officially inaugurated today in the presence of the Director General of Investments of the Turkish Ministry of Health, representatives of Proparco and sponsors, constructors and operators, including Rönesans Holding, the constructor and operator, and Meridiam, France’s leading infrastructure fund.

Proparco has granted a loan of $15 million to Tiryaki Agro, a Turkish agricultural commodities trading company. This financing will enable Tiryaki to increase its production volume, particularly organic, and to develop its activity towards new export markets. This is Proparco's second operation with Tiryaki after a first $15 million loan granted in 2012.
