Professional experience

Former student of the Ecole Normale Supérieure and the National School of Public Administration, M. Ponsolle has a Bachelor of History and Classic Litterature and is a graduate of the Institute of Political Studies of Paris.
Patrick Ponsolle began his career in 1973 in the Ministry of Economy and Finance, where he held several positions as a senior official. In 1983, he joined the private sector and became Chief Executive Officer of Compagnie de Suez, the parent company of the Suez Group.
In 1993, Patrick Ponsolle left Suez to become co-chairman and then executive chairman of Eurotunnel.
In 2001, he was designated Vice-president of Morgan Stanley International and president of Morgan Stanley France. He joined Rothschild & Cie in 2009 as Vice-Chairman Europe.
