MLA, a leasing company set up by Tunisie Leasing with support from Amen Group, offers leasing solutions in Algeria for material and equipment for a large number of economic sectors.
Maghreb Leasing Algérie (MLA Leasing) was set up in 2006 at the initiative of Tunisie Leasing, with support from its leading shareholder, the Tunisian group Amen. MLA offers leasing financing solutions for commercial and passenger vehicles, transport equipment for passengers and goods, building, public works and handling material, industrial, IT and office automation equipment and real estate.
By becoming a shareholder of MLA, Proparco is supporting the development of the company’s financing activities. It will also help the company comply with the Central Bank’s new regulatory equity requirements, which have been raised to 3.5bn Algerian dinars, i.e. approximately EUR 33m (against EUR 5m initially).
By supporting a Tunisian initiative in Algeria, this project will promote the development of a more integrated North African financial sector. It will contribute to strengthening the local SME base, for which leasing is a simple and rapid financing solution.
