Hospital do Coração (HCor) was set up in the aftermath of the First World War by the Lebanese-Syrian community of São Paulo and rapidly became one of the most modern hospitals in Latin America. This leading hospital, specialized in the treatment of heart disease, benefits from the certification of the Joint Commission for the quality and security of its healthcare.
Project description
This project will support the expansion and modernization program of the HCor hospital. It plans to create fifteen new beds in cardio-pediatrics, as well as the construction of two buildings for cancer treatment and cardiology. The creation of an integrated cancer treatment center will provide patients with comprehensive care, with access to all the medical and technological examinations on one site.
Project impact
This project, by contributing to modernizing the HCor hospital, will improve the quality of healthcare in Brazil. The extension of the hospital’s capacity will also develop healthcare provision in the country.
