The opening of Noom Hotel in Conakry is strengthening high-end hotel accommodation in the Guinean capital, especially for business clients. In addition to its overall support to the project, PROPARCO is assisting in staff training.
TEYLIOM is a group operating in West Africa and Central Africa in a wide range of sectors: telecommunications, real estate, banking, etc. Building on its first hotel investment in the Radisson Blu Dakar (2009) in Senegal, the group aims to create a leading chain of business hotels in large African cities. The Noom Hotel Conakry, which is owned by Chain Hotel Conakry, will be the first stage in this deployment.
FISEA’s equity investment will contribute to financing Noom Hotel Conakry. With a capacity of 187 rooms and several conference centers and rooms, this hotel will offer a high-end service, for which there is limited availability locally, in the Kaloum business center. It will be marketed under the brand “Noom” and will mainly target regional and international business clients. The financial support will be used for staff training during the pre-opening phase of the hotel, particularly for modules on reception and the use of management software.
This operation will support the development of hotel services and the increase in the accommodation capacity in the Guinean capital. It will contribute to creating jobs, training qualified staff, boosting the local economy via the local sourcing of supplies or food products, and to structuring the urban environment. It will also contribute to creating an attractive business environment for regional and international investments.
