Proparco finances the construction of data centres in Ghana and in Djibouti

Proparco has granted a $17 million loan for the construction and operation of 3 data centres in Africa developed by Etix Everywhere. These 3 data centres will be located in Ghana (Accra and Kumasi) and Djibouti.
This financing also includes the construction of a 365kWp mini solar power plant in Accra, contributing to Etix's objective to operate the first green data centre in sub-Saharan Africa.
This is the first financing granted by Proparco to the construction and operation of data centres, it is yet another example of the importance given by Proparco to innovative projects contributing to development. This project responds to a strong local demand linked to the growing importance of the digital economy on the continent. These data centres will contribute to this revolution, which holds great potential for economic and social development.
