    Private Sector & Development is a bimonthly magazine that compares the views of experts in different fields on issues relating to the role the private sector plays in the development of low-income countries of South countries, particularly in Sub-Saharan Africa.
     

    Each issue includes between six and eight contributions on the same topic from researchers, private sector’s professionals from South countries.

    By comparing complementary approaches, Private Sector & Development aims to help us get a better grasp of the mechanisms through which the private sector can contribute to the development of these countries.

    The magazine targets all those who contribute to the development of low-income countries, and particularly decision-makers in the private sector, political leaders, donors, international organizations, non-governmental organizations, universities and development research institutes.

  • Magazine format

    Private Sector & Development is published in French and English. It is available in both paper and digital formats. Each issue includes an editorial, between 6 and 8 page articles, a special “insights” feature and a bibliography.

     

     

  • Specifications for auhors

    Authors are asked to draft articles using a clear style and avoiding too specialized terms. Indeed, the magazine targets a broad public concerned by development and/or the role of the private sector in developing countries, whether or not they are specialized in the topic addressed in each issue. Articles must comprise 10 000 characters (punctuation and spaces included) including all the tables, maps, formulas, notes. 

     

     
     

  • Submitting articles

    The editorial committee welcomes article submissions which are examined with a view to possible publication. The articles submitted must have 10,000 characters (punctuation and spaces included), comprising any tables, maps, formulas, graphs, notes and bibliographical references. Two summaries – one in French and one in English – comprising 600 characters must also be provided. Article submissions should be sent to revue_spd@afd.fr
