Work begins on setting up a Mediterranean Carbon Fund

CDC Climat a newly created Caisse des Dépôts subsidiary, French Development Agency AFD, PROPARCO, the European Investment Bank (EIB), Cassa depositi e prestiti (CDP) and KfW Bankengruppe, the German promotional bank (KfW), have joined forces to study and promote the creation of a Mediterranean Carbon Fund (MCF). >> Download press release


Visit of Luc Rigouzzo in Dominican Republic and Haiti

Luc Rigouzzo went to Dominican Republic during three days from june 17 to 21. In Santo Domingo, Luc Rigouzzo met the main partners of PROPARCO and firmed a credit line convention of 25 M $ in favour of Banco Popular Dominicano, the first Dominican private bank. Through this loan, BPD plans to refinance on a long-term basis projects of infrastructure, energy and exporting companies' investments (in particular in tourism and agribusiness.


Proparco and the FMO join to finance an Indian financial institution

Asset finance Company  Srei Infrastructure Finance Ltd, India leading private sector infrastructure financing institution has entered into an agreement to raise 70 M$ senior loan syndicated by the Nederlands based FMO. Proparco, the private sector investment arm of Agence Française de Développement (AFD), the leading French development finance agency, will take part of the loan through a 20 M$ funding dedicated to renewable energies and energy efficiency >> Read more

International Finance Institutions sign Agreement to facilitate cooperation

Four International Finance Institutions (IFIs) announced that they have agreed to streamline the process for providing loans in developing countries, where projects face a financing shortfall because of the global economic crisis. 1st Investment and Savings Forum in Cotonou - Benin
