FISEA technical assistance

FISEA is an investment fund that makes equity investments in businesses, banks, microfinance institutions and investment funds operating in Sub-Saharan Africa. In addition to its investment activity, FISEA has developed advisory services dedicated to helping companies fill the capacity gap by partly financing technical assistance projects.

Initiated by the beneficiaries of FISEA investments, those capacity development projects are carried out by consultants. Technical assistance provided by Proparco takes diversified forms:

-  Strategic reviews : company overall diagnostic before the investment ;

-   Specific consulting missions : focusing on the company’s capacity gap in targeted areas and coming up with appropriate solutions after the investment;

- Fund-led consulting missions: investment funds receiving financing from FISEA work out on appropriate solutions to cope with the capacity gaps of their portfolio companies

Through its capacity development offer, FISEA strengthens its position as a lever for economic growth in Sub-Saharan Africa and supports projects with a strong developmental impact. Financing allocation depends on both the company’s assessment of its needs and Proparco’s analysis.
